I created the Bankroll Your Life (BYL) community and the Financial Roadmap to help individuals start and scale microbusinesses, including side hustles.

My commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and business owners began in an unexpected place: a small auto repair shop where I worked part-time during undergrad. One afternoon, I overheard the owner speaking with his CPA. Although I could only hear his side of the conversation, it was clear he didn’t fully understand the financial information being discussed. The confusion on his face said everything.

That moment stayed with me. I remember wondering how many business owners operate with passion and skill but lack the financial insight they need to make informed decisions. It planted the seed for my desire to help business owners master the financial fundamentals rather than be sidelined by them.

Fast forward to today.

I’m a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than two decades of experience. My career spans higher education, Corporate America, adult education, and fintech. I’ve taught bookkeeping to adult learners, worked with hundreds of small business owners and entrepreneurs, helped them clean up financial messes and master the fundamentals, and am now building a modern CPA firm.

The Financial Roadmap is designed to help people move from ideas to action without abandoning their creativity, values, or lived experience. I believe fulfillment comes from building ventures rooted in what you already know, what you care about, and what you want to contribute. It’s not about chasing trends. It’s about creating something meaningful that works for you.
